I really like this grill! I live in an apartment complex, and gas/charcoal grills are not allowed. This is a great alternative! Very easy to use. The grates and the reflector pan can be put in the diswasher for easy cleanup. It's not the best looking grill, but it works great for the price! Putting it together was a bit of a challenge, directions aren't the clearest. You'll need a pliers, flat head screwdriver, and phillips screwdriver to assemble. A ratchet may also be useful for the side handle. It creates quite a bit of smoke while cooking - outdoor use only (unlike similar George Forman electric grills). I am one happy customer!

I just finished assemblying the grill and haven't cooked anything yet. As I had read in the reviews, it was a rather difficult assembly job - harder than I expected. One of the wires on the cooking grid is missing a weld and it will sag under a load. I'll call the mfgr and hopefully get a replacement.

Grill seems to work fine, very little smoke etc. Being it's electric it takes longer to get hot enough to cook on than a gas grill, but that's OK. My only issue was ASSEMBLY!! Ridiculous! It took forever as a balancing act and almost needed four hands. There are certainly a lot of people I'll bet simply could not do it. I had to get someone stronger than I was to tighten the handle screws. Also the numbers on the assembly picture are very difficult to interpret.

As another reviewer noted, this item is surprisingly smaller than expected. I guess even though it does say "Fingertip Towel Stand" I thought it would be big enough to use with regular hand towels, but it's not. If you throw a hand towel over it, it practically covers the whole stand. There was no way to drape or hang a hand towel that looked right. I might have considered returning it but had thrown away the packaging, so maybe I'll find some other use for it, or sadly it will end up at the Goodwill.

I absolutely LOVE this towel stand. I was unsure about getting it, because other reviews said it was small. It is a perfect size for hand towels though. I have it in my kitchen and use it to hang dish towels on after use. It is also decorative and durable. GREAT BUY!

I was skeptical since the feel of the product is uber important... I read the reviews, and we love the feel. We washed it after receiving it, and it is a soft cotton. At times, it almost feels like the softest pair of blue jeans you own. The price was right. I cannot stand buying online and having to pay return shipping and not getting my initial shipping back et cetera. So, thank God it worked; that's why Zappos is doing so well! Color: good. I still need to find big back pillows like the ones in the pic. Plus, the reviewer who told me about the ties inside - spot on! So, I sewed them in right away.

The duvet cover & the matching shams are lovely, though the print is not quite as pictured -- much more blue and red than you can see in the Amazon picture. I went to some other websites to find a picture I could zoom in on, and that helped me get a better idea about the cover. The blue is almost a royal blue, and the red is definitely red. That being said, I really like the colors in person, though they're hard to see accurately in any pictures online. The cover is soft, silky smooth, and handsome overall. Made in Pakistan.

The shams have cheap plastic zipper closures that I thought might break the first time I tried to zip the shams shut -- you know, the flimsy kind that gets stuck even when there's nothing to catch on. (They didn't break, happily.)

The duvet cover has NO TIES to attach to your insert. I know, safety pins are a good alternative -- or, I could sew some in myself. But seriously, can't Tommy spend another dollar and put a few pieces of material in the corners? The Target brand duvet covers have ties in the corners!

It's almost perfect because it looks beautiful, feels soft, fits well...the only thing is there's no way to attach the duvet to the duvet cover so I bought a 4-pk of clips and this seems to be working fine. Overall, a great purchase:)

Upon receipt of the steam press, I put it to work immediately! I press chair sashes for a business and it is wonderful - I can do 5 to 10 at one time depending on the fabric and it really saves me so much time. I have not tried larger items, such as curtains, large table cloths, but I am sure it will be a winner.

I've had three of these - two had bad thermostats that were beyond fixing and one had a faulty "steam shot" feature that stopped working. Each time, I just bought another one. Finally, I upgraded to the more expensive (much more expensive) and larger Singer model. In the first year, it was in the repair shop twice. During this past year (the second year), it was at the mfg. for two months, came back, and four months later, it's not working again! After talking to the distributor/mfg. - they are NOT helpful and basically told me "too bad" it's beyond the warranty period. I've given up. Another $500 shot. The retail store where I bought it (a sewing store) has been very nice, but I feel guilty about being a pest. They even paid the mfg. for the $100 repair bill last time. I don't think it's worth putting another $100 into again. These things are a marvelous tool, and you get used to having them and feel you can't do without one! I do! I swear, I use them only for home use (weekly ironing of T shirts, pants, PJ's, pillowcases) But, I'm resolved to have to spend anywhere from $300 - $500 every couple years for a new one! I've tried a couple different brands - all the same problem. Bad thermostats!!! I may try to get a family member who's in the commercial laundry business to get me a commercial one - the ones for home use are no good, in my opinion. I'd rather pop for $1,000 and get it over with!

I am super happy with these plates. I bought 3 sets: red, green, and blue for our 3 Girl Scout Patrol Boxes. These plates have been camping many times and are holding up great. I am super happy that they are made in the USA out of recycled material and can be recycled back into new plates if they ever self-destruct (which I just don't see happening for a long time.) I also bought the cups and bowls from this same company, but since they don't carry a "durable every day" line of utensils, I managed to find made-in-USA (shockingly enough) utensils at Ikea that work really well with these sets. (More durable than the Preserve line of "on the go" cutlery.) I highly recommend these as every day plates for kids, camping gear for Scouts or families, and backyard party & picnic plates to keep on hand instead of disposables for smaller gatherings (the "on the go" line is more economical if you're having a big party.)

Super durable, perfectly sized, in fun colors, and made in the USA out of recycled materials. How can you go wrong?

Now I would like them to come out with yellow as I need to add a Yellow Patrol kit to my troop camping gear...

I bought this in November 2010 when the dreary winter blues were really affecting me. It is now March 2011 so I think I've given enough time to write a reasonable review. My old alarm clock's beeping made me crabby and it was really hard to get up. I'd press my snooze button a lot and it was horrible. This sunrise clock will wake you up pleasantly, but you have to make sure you are getting adequate sleep or else you may not wake up without setting the optional beep. The beeping is what makes waking up unpleasant for me. In a way, this sunrise clock forced me to develop better sleep habits. I really did not want to set the beep!

I have mine hooked up to a gooseneck floor lamp that holds five bulbs. I used the two bulbs that come with the set and supplemented with 3 incandescent bulbs. The bulbs that come with it are those special natiural daylight bulbs but when they wear out, I'll probably repalce with regular incandescents and see if I notice a difference. It would probably be enough to wake me up with only two bulbs but I use 5 bulbs because I aim the lights towards me after my shower for light therapy. I set the sunset for 60 minutes so I know when my light therapy is over. You cannot use the CFC bulbs with this light per the instructions. I have not tried dimmable CFCs.

With the incandescent bulbs, I have noticed something that I'll mention but with a caveat. I have really good hearing and can hear some dog whistles even though I'm nearly 40. I can hear a high-pitched ring from the bulbs when they are at the lower dim levels. It is not loud at all and doesn't hurt my ears but I can hear it. The light wakes me up before the ringing does. You will probably not be able to hear it.

There is an adjustable light on the background display. That is very handy because I am very sensitive to light in the room when I am sleeping. I have it set to 1, which is the lowest level of actual backlight but it can be set to no light. You set each day of the week independantly, which is useful for weekends or schedules that change. I am very happy with this light. It works as advertised. It doesn't take much room on the dresser either. If I had to change one thing about this clock it would be to have actual red lit numbers. It is harder to see in the dark with the backlight all the way up than it would be to have the regular red lit numbers. Red lit numbers aren't as disturbing to me as the green lights. My solution is to keep my old alarm clock across the room with its big red numbers and alarm not set. By the way, I find the beep on this clock to be really annoying. However, since I don't use that feature, I don't care.

I knew I was going to start a new job where I had to get up at 5:00 AM. I've never been a good early riser so I researched every "sunrise light" I could find. This one sounded the best but I couldn't find much info or return policy on the company's web site (UK) and they didn't answer my email inquiry. When I saw it was available on Amazon I jumped on it since they have a great return policy. I have not been disappointed. I works exactly as described and is effective at gently waking me without any annoying buzzer or music. I have used it about one month I have a clock radio set as a backup but have not needed it once. The light always wakes me. I have it set for a 30 minute "ramp up sunrise" time. I like the setting of the wake time for each day - easy and quick to set. Backlight is not too bright for me and is easy to see and read. To turn the light off I hit the alarm button and then the ZZZ button and it stays off. The only tiny complaint is the thick and not very flexible power / control cord. It was a bit pricy but it has been worth it for me.

Just received my knife set last night and I'm very pleased with the quality and feel of this set. I needed the bare essentials and this is exactly what I was looking for.

The title is a bit misleading because it says "6-Piece knife set" and I thought I'd receive 6 knives...but the block is included in the number. So you really get 3 knives, a sharpener, scissors, and the block (which is nice).

The misleading part is my fault if I read the entire description so I'm not counting it against the item.

After using for just 2 hours, I had to re-build the inadequate cushioning and design and install a new latching mechanism.

The seat metal was already bending and popping in and out a little, with audible popping sounds from flexing metal! I could see the deformation where the support pieces were already pushing info the thin metal seat material.

The cushioning offered very little support and showed long-term compression after minimal use. The latching mechanism wobbled and allowed the seat to tilt up and down about an inch when it should have remained solid and steady.

CHEAP! This seat, though perhaps admittedly worth what it cost, is very cheaply made with very flimsy materials and will not last. Unfortunately, there seem to be no competitive models of same design.

Luckily, after 2 hours, I have been able to remove the padding and do the following to perhaps make the seat usable and more durable:

1 - glued a stiffener to the poster-board quality piece that the cushioning is attached to to greatly increase (MORE than double) the strength of that component and thus counteract the effect of the metal seat base being so flimsy,

2 - add an extra thin layer of cushioning,

3 - remove the cheap latching pin and replace it with a custom-built steel rod latch so that the seat rests steady and firm without the one+ inch wobble the "new" seat started with.

Without making those repairs and redesigns, at my own expense, the seat would be barely worth buying, even at the low cost of $30 or so.

I ordered two sets of these 18x18x18 nesting tables and what arrived were much smaller, 15x15x13 nesting tables. Charming but not what I ordered. I am unable to talk with someone about this error and am left waiting and wondering when UPS will pick them up, when someone at Amazon will do something - and what will that something be? A refund because they don't have the item advertised or a replacement, and will the replacement be the correct item or some other similar but undersized item which they hope no one will actually measure. If it is corrected, great - if not I am done with Amazon Home & Garden.

Bought this pack of filters for my costco purchased eureka 2999 avz vacuum. They, along with replacing the HEPA filter and v-belt, brought new life to a vacuum I considered disposing of. I have noticed that the vacuum requires this filter to be "scraped off" every couple of runs for best performance.

Word of warning: I tried cleaning my old filter and then using water to clean it some more. Wow, big mistake. The water did get out extra dirt but all the trapped yeast, etc embedded in the filter caused the filter to start emitting a sulfur-y smell that all the vacuum exhaust was perfumed with. Yuck!

A little over 6 months ago we read about the benefits of grinding flaxseed and eating it with cereal, and decided to try it. So we bought the Braun KSM-2 grinder for the purpose, and it worked reasonably well.

However, while staying at a friend's house we tried the same thing with a Krups grinder, and found that
1. it ground the flaxseeds more thoroughly (we think it is because of the oval shape), and
2. it was quieter

We like the Braun's space for winding up the cord, and the Braun seems sturdy enough, so it's not a bad unit. But we bought the Krups and have been using it for a few weeks now, and we prefer it.

Our theory is that the key to the Krups's better grinding is the shape -- seen from above it is an oval with one end chopped off. This shape appears to stop the forward momentum of the flaxseeds (or whatever) so that the blades hit them with more impact. That is, in a circular grinder the seeds tend to pick up speed and swirl around with the blades, but the shape of the Krups doesn't let the speed build up so much.

Krups 203-70 Review by

This is an excellent grinder for home use and the one that I use on a daily basis. It is relatively quiet (so I can grind my beans in the morning without waking the kids) and large enough to process 8 or so cups (a full pot) of coffee. The only downside is that you have to practice the knack of when to stop grinding due to the lack of coarse control, but it makes up for it with ease of use. In my mind the quietness, ease of use and ease of cleaning (the black model is easier to clean than white) make this a must-have for coffee lovers.

Krups 203-70 Review by J. Rabideau (Stuck in the Loser State)

...this guy is. It grinds coffee. What more is there to possibly say about it? It does what it's supposed to do, uniformly, and well. The end result is consistent, providing I count off a consistent time (the same could not be said for the previous beast that dwelled in my kitchen). It's a good grinder---I use it fairly heavily: grinding about a half-pound every six or eight days (what can I say? I'm a student. Caffeine is my lifeblood.). I have had my unit for over a year, and it has neither developed irritating quirks nor broken and needed replacing: the blades have also remained sharp.

The single word of advice that I would attach to this would be that you might wish a good, fairly long-handled and firm-bristled brush to clean it with: the shape of the lid and of the unit's base is such that grounds seem to adhere to the crevices. This is nothing that a washing of the lid can't address, but dunking the base in the sink has always seemed, well...inadvisable? It's a dependable machine: worth the money.
