I say mostly great because the dat given says the monitor works from 60hz to 75 hz but I've learned that this is a function of resolution. To get a faster refresh rate you'd have to lower the less than optimum resolution.
23" is really a premium size IMO. 24" screens have a larger dot pitch at the same 1920x1080 and really aren't much bigger, but 23" is significantly larger than 22" (which are really 21.5").
I got mine with some rough and tumbled packaging but in perfect condition. No dead pixils. Yes, LED is hard to lower the brightness on which starts out really bright. The advice from others reviews helped me a lot. I used both the OSD and AMD CCC to lower the brightness and contrast to a nice readable level.
I'm going to get a Spider color meter to get the color right but it looked pretty good out of the box although I really have little idea how accurate it is.
The monitor is stable and the stand works pretty good. It's a little awkward to change to profile view because it requires raising the screen, then tilt back some then rotate. The corner rubs a little as you rotate it, but it all works OK. The software provided does the job of switching the screen orientation, but I do wish there was a sensor in the screen that did this automatically.
Anyway, I'm very happy with this, and I will be enjoying it for years to come I hope.

Sharp image and great color! What else we may expect from a monitor? Yes, the speakers are poor, but I don't use them anyway. Considering the price, I have no complaints at all.

I ordered a LG IPS231V-PN but actually got LG IPS231p-BN. I contacted customer service and they said that it was most likely a shipping mistake. They again resent another monitor and again it was a LG IPS231p-BN. From what I can tell the only difference is that the LG IPS231p-BN does not support HDMI inputs. After doing some more research I am starting to believe that a LG IPS231V-PN does not even exist (it is not even mentioned on LG's website). LG IPS231p-BN is a really good monitor, but if you must have HDMI, then be cautious about about getting a LG IPS231p-BN instead of a LG IPS231V-PN. When you get the box see the model thats listed in small print near the barcode.
