This is my first rolling stand. I've been using it on my wood deck about two weeks now and I love it. It rolls easily enough although it is a bit difficult to maneuver in the direction you want it to go, but it is much better than trying to lift a heavy stand, which I cannot do because of health issues. I highly recommend it.

This is an excellent product that exceeded our expectations! The best part is how easily it rolls around our patio. I was very pleased to see it hold up in windy conditions. Very solid construction. I am petite and not very strong but I can easily move and turn this stand. This is by far the best umbrella stand we have ever purchased.

Our patio is very windy (direct waterfront), so we need wind-resistant umbrella bases. We first bought a Shademobile rolling umbrella base a few years ago, and it is so reliably stable that we bought a second one this summer. We use the brick + sand method to fill the base, and we leave it outdoors year-round; winter doesn't seem to bother it. The rolling feature is critical with such heavy bases---it's quite easy to move the base & umbrella to a new position on the flagstone patio and then lock the wheels. Not a great decorative addition to the patio, but so much more functional than any prettier base.
